Many of our Clients, not having found exactly what they wanted in the shops, discovered that commissioning a piece of furniture is easier and a far more enjoyable and rewarding experience.

-  You can engage directly with the designer and the maker turning your desires into wonderfully crafted pieces of hand-made furniture to the size and shape to fit your space precisely.  Some Clients know exactly what they want, others rely on us to create ideas and vision.  Our approach is the same; friendly and approachable and focused on creating furniture to delight you.

-  You won't need to wait for factory build times of 8-16 weeks.  We are in control of the whole project from design through making and final installation, making completion times far more sensible.

-  Your furniture will be original, signed and totally personal to you.

We have two straight forward stages; the design stage and the making stage.

the design stage

Once you have decided to commission a piece of bespoke furniture with us, we will visit you, ideally in the place the furniture is required. 

We will fully involve you throughout the design stage; it is important to us that we can create furniture to fulfill your vision and to compliment your life style.  You will have many opportunities to clarify what elements work and don't work and to ensure the details are spot on before commitment to making. 

Drawings, samples and imagery will be created to communicate the ideas, design materials and finishes and to agree the furniture specification ready for making.  Costs and time to make and install will be presented and agreed before starting the make stage.

the make stage

Clients get as excited about the make stage as they do about the design stage.  All the hard decisions have been made so now they see their vision coming to life.

We keep you in the loop (normally every week) with updates and photo's of progress if required.  We like Clients to have the sense of seeing their furniture being built and are happy for you to visit our workshop to see progress and confirm any details.

Once we have made your furniture we will deliver and install it at the agreed time.  We put great effort into installing a piece so it realises your vision perfectly.

You will now own a piece of heirloom quality bespoke furniture created by della-Porta design to enjoy with your family and friends.
